കുടമുല്ലപ്പൂവിനും മലയാളിപ്പെണ്ണിനും......

         നെറുകും തലയില്‍ ഒരു കുടന്ന പൂവും ചൂടി ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് വഴിയരികില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ഈ സുന്ദരിയെ ഒന്ന് കണ്ടവര്‍ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കില്ല നമ്മുടെ കുടമുല്ലയെ!!.  

         പെരുകിലത്തിന്റെ(ഒരുവേരന്‍) കുടുംബത്തില്‍ പെട്ടതാണെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു ഇവളും. കൃഷ്ണകിരീടം(ഹനുമത്കിരീടം) എന്ന ചെടിയും പൂവില്ലാ എങ്കില്‍ കുടമുല്ല ആണോ എന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പോകും. Cashmere Bouqet എന്ന പേരില്‍ ഇവരെല്ലാരും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ശാസ്ത്രനാമം clerodendrum philippinum

This Clerodendrum is very easy to grow and bloom. It has nice large leaves and beautiful double fragrant flowers. Unfortunately this plant produces many runners and can be very invasive for southern gardeners. It does grow well in containers.
